Within the anime, Hiroto dreams of constructing a covert hideout close to his residence; in the attic he encounters a ninja and 'Nintuber' called Tonkachi. Knowing of the legendary 'Ninja Box,' Tonkachi compels him to travel to the 'Village of Tatemakuri,' where a chatty dog named Tatezou greets them gently.
