Time seems to slip away for Kana Koumoto and her companions in their quiet Japanese village. Each day blends into the next, giving the impression that tomorrow will mirror yesterday. Kana attends school, spends moments with pals, enjoys painting her nails and listening to tunes, yet it seems no extraordinary event will ever arise.
Seeking a break from monotony, Kana and her friends craft a bottle rocket to shoot into the sky, even if it may never reach orbit. Just as they finish building it, a robot crashes through and obliterates the launchpad, soon followed by a woman with pink hair who introduces herself as a "Galactic Investigator." Kana"s routine quickly turns into an adventure, confronting fresh emotions, shifting friendships, and romantic dilemmas. Life can pass in a flash, so fast that it feels missed; why do these strange robots always appear at the most inconvenient moments?
