Yet, when a neurotropic virus spreads across society, people"s worldview shifts; the mythic entities are shown to have coexisted with humanity all along. The same pathogen also profoundly impacts the younger generation, granting them extraordinary powers to confront hazardous phantoms. Haruhiko Ichijou and Mai Kawakami are two recipients of such gifts—Haruhiko can summon and seal phantoms by drawing, while Mai channels elemental forces into her martial arts. Together with the amicable phantom Ruru, they constitute Team E at Hosea Academy, devoted to managing these often mischievous spirits. In a realm where reality and fantasy merge, they tackle the daily disturbances caused by phantoms.
