A crisis looms over Earth as a wandering black hole expands, in the year 2220. A scheme is set to relocate more than 300 million inhabitants from Earth. When the newest transport convoy is struck, the Space Battleship Yamato intervenes; it is now helmed by Susumu Kodai, with his daughter Miyuki aboard as the child of Susumu and Yuki.
