Mithril, a clandestine defense agency employing cutting‑edge technology to counter terrorism, dispatches an elite squad for a covert assignment. Under the leadership of commander Melissa Mao, sergeants Sousuke Sagara and Kurz Weber are tasked with covertly shielding Kaname Chidori—a teenage girl who unknowingly possesses revolutionary scientific insight and is labeled a "Whispered"—from intelligence services and rival factions seeking her talents. Kurz and Melissa provide remote support, while Sousuke infiltrates Kaname"s high school as a fellow pupil to keep a close eye on her.
