Sanpei, a young beekeeper from the quiet hills, survived an accident that claimed his entire family. He meets Chiyo, a girl stung by a bee, and joins her village to rebuild a new life. Gradually, Sanpei revives the fields abandoned by locals, then disappears without a trace. As blossoms blanket the earth, Chiyo waits hopeful that Sanpei will return, always for years.
