Benio Adashino, a prodigious exorcist famed for her formidable power, is summoned to Tokyo by the Exorcist Union after a series of alarming incidents. On her journey she falls into the care of Rokuro Enmadou, a young exorcist haunted by a troubled past and a reputation for daring feats.
Yet the impurities in Magano never cease. When these two exorcists witness children snatched by a Kegare, Benio rushes to rescue them, dragging Rokuro with her back into the perilous realm. In a fierce battle where she nearly succumbs, Rokuro saves her, proving he could rival her in skill and determination.
