The youthful Earl Ciel Phantomhive—the Queen's Guard Dog—once more is summoned to probe apparently supernatural events in the shadowy streets, when reports of wondrous resurrections emerge across Victorian London to the astonished public. Together with Sebastian Michaelis, his demon butler, they embark on the opulent cruise vessel Campania to investigate whispers about the Aurora Society—a medical guild alleged to conduct experiments on corpses.
Death‑knights start surfacing aboard the vessel, revealing that it is poised to be swamped by the living dead as a sinister scheme unfolds. Ciel and Sebastian must now expose the mysteries behind the Aurora Society's phoenix emblem, and with assistance from former allies, consign the undead back to their crypts or meet a submerged fate in the depths.
