Queen Victoria"s directive sends Earl Ciel Phantomhive to Weston College, a famed public boys" academy renowned for its heritage and rigorous curriculum, to find a family member who has been missing for months. Thanks to his noble status, the 13‑year‑old Ciel is quickly accepted as a student, while his mischievous valet Sebastian Michaelis takes up a teaching position there.
Ciel does not anticipate failing to locate the Queen"s relative on campus. Worse still, he cannot arrange a meeting with the college headmaster, who may be the only person aware of clues to the disappearance. The only individuals who regularly consult the headmaster are the dormitory overseers, known as the Prefect 4 (P4): Edgar Redmond, Lawrence Bluewer, Herman Greenhill, and Gregory Violet.
To tap into their connections, Ciel must devise a plan to earn the P4"s favor. Yet the prestigious institution and its students conceal many secrets, making this task far more daunting than he could have imagined.
