At the close of the 21st century, a meteor strike cast Earth into ruin, and humanity"s survivors split into two paths for survival. The privileged Dobias voyaged to the stars, whereas the grounded Shioru settled beneath the earth. After centuries, both returned to the surface and now vie for dominion over the planet—unless they are preoccupied with battling a fresh breed of predators called Creatures. In this turmoil, an elite squad of five fighters known as Geisters shields people from the Creatures and from one another. Though a member of the Dobias, the Geisters have recently welcomed a Shioru‑born soldier into their ranks; her commanding demeanor makes the rest of the team question her allegiance and value.
