The Kingdom of Lotremon is known as a land of dragon rulers. During a special ritual, the residents of Lotremon can receive on their bodies a unique mark that contains a dragon embryo. Holders of such marks enter the academy of dragon riders, Ansarivan. By the time the academy students attain the rank of Junior, a dragon grows from their mark and becomes their lifelong companion. The dragon, in turn, receives astral energy through its connection with its rider. The main character, Ash Blake, is one of the future dragon riders. Unlike other dragons, Ash"s dragon has taken the form of a girl named Eco. Moreover, Ash himself possesses a unique ability to subdue other dragons. The plot follows his adventures.
