The constellations above appear to uphold a distant, everlasting order that mortal beings scarcely aspire to reach, for it would require extraordinary force to change from a terrestrial being into a luminous star. Yet the disfigured nightjar, in the vastness of the night sky, who endured severe mistreatment by its avian kin turned that suffering into vast power to ascend toward the heavens and ultimately shine as a celestial nightjar, with boundless hope and resilience.
