The dreamlike realm of Tenshi no Tamago lies barren, stripped of the ordinary rhythm of daily life. Instead, it teems with foreboding sights: levitating spheres bearing statues of goddesses, colossal armored vehicles drifting without crews, fleets of anglers pursuing the silhouettes of phantom fish, and grottoes lined solely with crystal water jars deep within the twilight gloom that echo ancient whispers silently. In this crumbling world, a tender girl tends a massive egg while foraging for sustenance. She meets an enigmatic stranger bearing a cross across his shoulder; he quickly wonders who she is and what secrets lie inside her egg. Together they wander the shattered terrain, probing one another about faith's nature, the world's intent, and how their existences began amid the ruins of forgotten hopes, searching for meaning beyond the ordinary today.
