The textbook schoolboy orphan Takumi Tsuzuki lives with his step‑older sister Oto-me and manages to keep the confectionery "Wandering Cat" running just barely. As expected, the house is full of cats, but they are of little use, and Takumi"s work is helped by his childhood friend Fumino Serizawa, a very active and stubborn person. The kids attend Umenomori Academy together, where they constantly cross paths with the local "princess" Tise, the school director"s granddaughter who is infatuated with the poor boy, and Fumino considers her an adversarial friend. Life would have gone on like that, but Tise entered Takumi"s class to recruit a team for cosplay; everyone got into a big fight, and then an unpleasant incident occurred – someone ate the cake ordered at "Wandering Cat" by a regular customer. The sole witness, a first‑grade child, claimed that it was the cat who ate it, but an enormous one. The subsequent express investigation with interrogations, chases and ambushes allowed the Tsuzuki family to add a new character named Nodzomi – either a girl or perhaps… really a cat. To get to the bottom of it, the heroes and we have an entire series ahead!
