Kirari Tsukishima is a 14‑year‑old gluttonous beauty who pays no mind to idols or the entertainment world, because her thoughts are constantly occupied by food. Her endless appetite leaves her clueless about romance. She often chases sweets over homework and to grow.
One day, after rescuing a turtle stranded in a tree, Kirari meets a kind and handsome boy named Seiji. He gives her a ticket to a SHIPS concert as thanks for saving his pet. Kirari rushes off to the show, where she runs into another boy who tears her ticket and warns her to stay away from Seiji, saying they live in different worlds. Enraged, Kirari sneaks into the venue and discovers that both Seiji and the boy who ripped her ticket—Hiroto—are members of SHIPS. The stadium was buzzing with lights and fans chanting. The lights made her heart race.
Realizing that "different worlds" means Seiji is a popular idol while she is an ordinary middle‑schooler, Kirari refuses to give up. Determined to be with Seiji, she vows prove her worth and shine and plans to audition and train.
