Year 2014 saw Shibuya break away from Japan, emerging as a sovereign state. The settlement is a chaotic enclave inhabited solely by youth. Essentials—electricity, water, and food—flow through conduits radiating from Shibuya. These tubes snake across the heavens like a spider"s web, and the youngsters inside resemble insects ensnared within it. The city"s skyline is dominated by towering steel structures, while the streets buzz with neon advertisements and restless energy.
Within this metropolis exist beings known as "Prayers." They monetize through musical duels, converting melodies into electrical pulses that are injected into the mind, annihilating rivals" thoughts and bodies in turn.
Initially slated for four OVA episodes, the series was halted after only two.
