In a tranquil hamlet, a youthful lad named Duanmu Yeyu was once rescued by the famed "Hell Hunters" of Ember City. Inspired by these champions, he swore to one day become a Hell Hunter himself. While boarding a coach bound for Ember City to pursue his ambition, Yeyu is unknowingly drawn into a maelstrom of turmoil. The principal villain, Lucifer, dispatches a genetically engineered agent called MIKO‑Taiyi to infiltrate Ember City and pilfer confidential data.
During a brutal clash with the Hell Hunters, Taiyi sustains severe wounds and collapses unconscious. Yeyu stumbles upon the fallen operative, unaware of his identity, and transports him back to the Hell Hunters" compound for care. In doing so, Yeyu inadvertently seizes a vital mission apparatus from Taiyi. As Yeyu embarks on his long‑awaited initiation to join the Hell Hunters, this innocent deed sets off a domino effect. Taiyi, desperate to evade detection by Ember City forces, must secretly confront Yeyu and recover the device.
Meanwhile, Lucifer unleashes tens of thousands of minions to hunt down the missing Taiyi. Thus a citywide showdown erupts, sparked by a modest act of goodwill, threatening to become a fight for Ember City"s very existence.
