Jougorou Kobato habitually thrusts himself into others' predicaments. Realizing his detective prowess is neither desired nor rewarded, he allies with his reticent friend Yuki Osanai to blend in. As they enter high school, their goal is to appear average in the eyes of classmates; yet Kobato cannot resist reverting to investigative instincts whenever ordinary puzzles surface that seem trivial yet perplexing. Unfortunately, trivial occurrences are not all they confront in unexpected ways. While navigating school life and striving to remain inconspicuous, Kobato and Osanai keep a low profile and avoid gossip, to protect their secret. They occasionally become entangled in incidents that threaten their carefully crafted daily routine quietly.
