From their school years onward, Tsukasa Jinguuji has enjoyed extraordinary success with women because of his striking appearance; Hinata Tachibana, on the other hand, has struggled to attract anyone, eclipsed by Jinguuji"s magnetism. While Jinguuji never pursues romantic interests, Tachibana is constantly yearning for a partner. Despite these opposite traits, the two remain close friends well into their thirties as office workers.
One evening they return from a party where Jinguuji, as usual, commanded all attention.
