Souta, a native of Soka, had spent life working and residing in Tokyo until recently. He is engaged to Miki, so he resolves to return to Soka and search for house where they can settle. While touring homes, he spots enigmatic bird and starts following it. Soon after, he meets a woman named Akiko who has slipped forward in time. Souta takes her on a tour of the town, and she contemplates how much has transformed and her own future as she is engaged.
