When the divine would not respond during humanity"s bleak hour, people turned to a demon. The promised savior appeared bearing the blade Zsoltgewinn, yet its unbridled thirst for blood forced it to slaughter those who had called it forth. Though the sword was sealed centuries earlier, the Shoshidai—an agency that gathers cursed relics—discovered it. The weapon proved too potent for mortal hands; its corrupting influence drove the administrator, Takuma Miura, to abscond with it in his grasp.
Concurrently, Gai Ogata"s lineage unraveled because of another demonic sword, Shiryu. The blade caused his father"s murder and led his mother to take her own life shortly after giving birth. Left alone in a forest clutching the weapon, Gai was found by the smith Amon. Enraptured by Shiryu, he devoted years to mastering blacksmithing. An accident severed his arm, and he received a new one forged from the very sword he wielded.
Now bearing a cursed blade as an arm, Gai must master its violent impulses. Meanwhile Zsoltgewinn continues its bloody spree, leaving a trail of blood in its wake; its path is marked by shattered villages and broken hearts, echoing the loss.
