Hayato Hayasugi—whose surname plays on the phrase meaning 'too fast'—along with other youngsters will act as conductors to steer the Shinkalion. These Shinkalion units are based on various real Japanese bullet trains (shinkansen) that convert into robots to battle an unseen menace and safeguard Japan"s safety and tranquility to defend against unpredictable perils in the face of emerging threats. The kids must collaborate with the adults of the Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute (SUEI) to vanquish a monster resembling a jet‑black bullet train.
