Koujirou Shindou, a calm and rational government official famed for his negotiation prowess, is on an official trip when an enormous cube suddenly appears and pulls his aircraft safely into a mysterious, indestructible structure. As Japanese officials probe the cube"s nature and origins, Shindou encounters an otherworldly being called Yaha‑kui zaShunina who manifests as a human man. He reassures Shindou that the passengers are unharmed and seeks assistance in negotiating with humanity. Originating from a higher‑dimensional realm known as Novo, Yaha‑kui zaShunina can transmit knowledge between Novo and Shindou"s world through a cube named Kado. Though possessing extraordinary powers, he shows no hostility; instead he declares that his sole purpose on Earth is to "advance" humanity, beginning with Japan.
