The series tracks a youngster called Gen, who jumps forward from 2020 into an era where humans have vanished in a world that has been abandoned. He settles in the Ganko household nestled within the Rustling Woods, finding himself without the comforts he knows: no power supply, no gas or flowing water, and lacking TV, phones, shops, treats, or entertainment everywhere for him.
