As a child in the town of Lawless, Angelo Lagusa witnessed a tragedy: his parents and younger brother were mercilessly killed by the Vanetti crime syndicate. Losing all he cherished, he abandoned both his name and hometown, assuming the new identity of Avilio Bruno.
