In the bleak office of Ace Detective Agency, detectives Paul Tuck and Tracy Headly idly flip through magazines, having nothing better to occupy their time. Suddenly a young woman appears before them. From her strange dress the pair immediately deduce she is not from their era. She says, "You are right. I come from another age. In the future you two will marry, and my child will be born from your bloodline many generations hence." She is Princess Sara of Firantic. Paul and Tracy are amazed by her telepathic powers, and even more astonished at the news of their impending marriage. But there is more to come. Princess Sara seeks the Firebird using a Time Tunnel. Paul and Tracy decide it is their duty to protect their descendant"s future, so they offer to help Sara on her quest. Yet Sara has no idea where the bird lies; her only clue is that Princess Miranda and her party have also arrived in this time. Sara telepathically discovers the location of their time machine, and our heroes chase after Miranda, who holds all information about the Firebird.
