Fumi Mandezome and Akira Okudaira were inseparable in kindergarten, but Fumi"s family moved away, and the best friends went their separate ways. Ten years later, Mandezome returns to her hometown of Kamakura and enrolls at the all‑girls Matsuo School – and on the very first day of school she runs into Akira at the station, who has gone to the prestigious Fujiya girls" academy. Over the years the friends have changed in appearance, but their personalities remain the same. The once shy and short Fumi has grown tall and elegant, yet inside she is still the same bashful, indecisive person who prefers books and fantasies to the real world. The cheerful and carefree Akira remains a short, sturdy girl who spreads positive energy everywhere. Even if old acquaintances didn"t recognize each other at first, fate brought them together again, and soon the ten years seemed to have never passed.
