During the Taishō era of early twentieth‑century Japan, Haru Asagi is dispatched to serve as a maid in order to help her financially distressed family. The household she joins, the Miyanomori clan, wields great influence nationwide and is headed by one of Japan"s leading industrialists along with his six sons—yet the accumulation of wealth has revealed a ruthless side in each brother. When the patriarch announces his retirement, the six siblings scramble to claim his title. With eighteen years of service that have set apart the eldest from the youngest, frustration and rivalry surge throughout. Consequently, Haru must navigate the personalities of each markedly distinct brother and uncover their hidden motives.
