After the inaugural season, Tomoharu confronts a tough choice: without sealing a pact with an "akuma," he may lose his close ally Takatsuki, yet forming one would endanger his own life by turning him and Misao into an Asura Cryin'—the greatest menace, as declared by the school"s leaders. Adding to the complexity, Tomoharu and Misao have retrieved fragments of their past—recollections of a realm they never knew existed, hidden within the shadowy corridors of destiny and the looming threat of annihilation.
