Beneath the surface of Southern Cross Isle lies a clandestine group called the Glittering Crux Brigade, which routinely convenes in its subterranean stronghold. The faction is obsessed with "Cybodies," colossal stone beings that can morph into gigantic combatants, yet only within a zone called "Zero Time." By locating and crushing the island"s quartet of seal maidens, Glittering Crux aims to escape Zero Time and deploy the Cybodies wherever they wish. Their subterranean fortress is rumored to house ancient relics that amplify the Cybodies' power for all. One evening, a young man named Takuto Tsunashi is stranded on the island"s coast and rescued by Sugata Shindou along with his betrothed Wako Agemaki, a seal maiden of the isle. Upon awakening, Takuto quickly allies with them and enrolls at the nearby academy, where numerous classmates secretly belong to Glittering Crux. Yet Takuto keeps a hidden talent: in Zero Time, he can command his own Cybody—the Tauburn. In the looming conflict, Takuto and the Tauburn will be pivotal in stopping Glittering Crux from breaking Wako"s seal and fulfilling its sinister goals.
