In the year 2075, traveling through space has become a routine part of human life rather than an aspiration. Scientific breakthroughs and technological progress have enabled the moon to be settled, turned outer space into a commercial arena, and spawned massive aerospace conglomerates. Ai Tanabe, an enthusiastic woman fascinated by the heavens, secures a position at Technora Corporation within its Debris Division, a unit tasked with clearing hazardous debris that drifts between Earth's and the Moon's orbits.
Soon Ai realizes how little her role is valued. The Debris Division, a subject of ridicule at Technora, suffers from severe staffing shortages, inadequate budgets, and must rely on a rundown craft dubbed the "Toy Box" for junk recovery. Still determined, Ai endures and slowly learns about the quirky crew of the division: the clumsy yet kind chief clerk Philippe Myers; the enigmatic, reserved temp worker Edelgard Rivera; and the fiery, devoted Hachirouta Hoshino, who dreams of owning a vessel.
