On a destiny‑laden afternoon, Youtarou Misaki is pulled from the waves by a stranger called Arashi Mutou. Once ashore, Arashi rouses Youtarou and inquires about his name. Memories flood back swiftly, yet instead of revealing his identity, Youtarou opts to feign ignorance about his past.
The sea had swallowed his memories as surely as it had his body, and the shock of survival left him with a hollow sense of identity. Arashi, recognizing the boy's fragile state, tends to him and offers a temporary berth at his eatery, Kurage no Shokudou.
