The short"s narrative centers on two sixteen‑year‑old high schoolers who live through the Tohoku catastrophe and mature amid its aftermath. Jun Agatsuma"s father is a physician, making her anxious about what lies ahead. Kunpei Satou"s dad works as a fisherman, and the boy is expected to take over the trade. Their world suddenly shatters when the 2011 quake and tsunami strike their town, forcing them to chart paths as Miyagi Prefecture rebuilds. The piece expresses gratitude for everyone who aided the recovery and strives to keep the disaster"s memories from fading. Three Miyagi voices were selected characters.
