After confronting the enigmatic group Amarariruku, Teru Momijiyama reverts to her ordinary Tokyo routine—yet she keeps secretly rescuing citizens under the alias of Japan"s vigilante Shy. Through her interactions with others, Teru gradually builds self‑confidence. Though still far from mastering the full scope of heroism, she persistently advances toward understanding what it truly means to protect.
One afternoon while strolling the city post‑school, Teru encounters Ai Tennouji. They quickly become friends, and Teru finds herself opening up to her new companion. Teru soon discovers that Ai has fled her hometown, driven by a quest closely tied to Teru"s mission as Shy. With the looming menace of Amarariruku still present, Teru must decide how deeply she will involve herself with the enigmatic Ai.
