Four operatives from the Din Republic"s covert unit Lamplight are sent to apprehend a hostile spy. Despite their divergent temperaments, Thea, Monika, Erna and Annett manage to finish the job. During a brief respite, they meet a woman called Matilda who says she is Annett"s mother. As the squad learns more about her, they are pulled into a growing clash that strains their cooperation and loyalties.
At the same time, the other Lamplight agents realize the field team has not returned. Concerned for their comrades, Klaus and Lily launch an urgent search to find the missing operatives. While uncovering unsettling hints of escalating conflict near where their friends were last seen, they must move fast to regroup the team before the operation becomes irreversible.
