Four radiant spheres of varying hues drift across the cosmos, pursuing a crimson orb that seems to defy gravity. Following an intense skirmish, only the azure sphere crashes onto Earth, landing in Michiru's bedroom where she lies asleep. Yet the crimson orb also materializes on land, reshaping itself into a boy who clandestinely breeds Mejiro birds in cages. Later, Michiru strolls through a park flea market when an enormous flock of Mejiro birds blankets the sky and begins to assault passersby, causing chaos. The golden, argent, and violet spheres appear, nearly pacifying the Mejiro, but conflict threatens to erupt anew; the tension hangs heavy. At that instant, Michiru hears a voice within her mind urging her to rescue the Mejiro, her heart racing.
