The story centers on five girls (and a cat) who live under one roof in the Tokyo district of Nakano. Among them are the three Himote sisters—Tokiyo, Kanami, and Kokoro—whose family runs the "Himote House," as well as classmates Kokoro Tae and Minamo (and the cat Enisi). The girls lead ordinary lives, trying to become popular, and all of them (including the cat) possess some mysterious secret power.
