Love had never been a priority for Mitsuyoshi Tada, and as he entered his sophomore year of high school it seemed even farther away. That perception shifted when a cheerful foreigner named Teresa Wagner approached him while he was photographing a cherry‑blossom tree. She requested that he take her picture, and although they went their separate ways afterward, the two crossed paths twice more that same day.
