Touta Konoe grew up as a typical youth in a modest countryside village. His ordinary existence takes an abrupt turn when his guide, Yukihime, discloses that she is a vampire; after rescuing him from a fatal injury, she grants him immortality as well.
Eager to wander beyond his limits, young Touta finally turns his aspiration of reaching the pinnacle of Amanomihashira—a spire that stretches into outer space—into fact. On the journey he encounters a clandestine group of immortals identical to him, known as "UQ Holders." With fresh allies and instruction gathered along the path, Touta sets off on a enchanting quest.
