Long ago, a tranquil cubic world called Quarton, home to shape‑shifting living bricks known as Tenkai, was torn apart by a conflict between two opposing groups: the Corekai and the Corrupted. The tyrant warlord Vilius, who sought to seize the source of Tenkai Energy for himself, led the Corrupted. Only the four Tenkai Knights—Bravenwolf, Tributon, Valorn, and Lydendor—possessed the power to stop him. When defeat loomed, Vilius summoned a colossal Tenkai Dragon; the Knights ultimately vanquished it and scattered its shards across the planet. The heroes vanished thereafter, yet the Corrupted returned stronger than ever.
In 2034 on Earth, four teens—Guren, Ceylan, Toxsa, and Chooki—discover an interdimensional gateway to Quarton. The Guardians select them as the new Tenkai Knights, tasking them with stopping Vilius from dominating both realms.
