As Kobayashi begins another workday, she opens her apartment door and is confronted by a startling sight—the dragon"s head gazing back from the balcony. Suddenly, the beast morphs into a lively, voluptuous young woman in a maid"s uniform, introducing herself as Tooru.
The calm coder had encountered the dragon during a drunken mountain trip last night. With nowhere else to go, she offered the creature lodging in her home. Tooru seized the chance, vowing to repay Kobayashi"s kindness by serving as her personal maid. Though she feels remorse for the promise and doubts following through, a blend of guilt and Tooru"s remarkable dragon powers persuades Kobayashi to accept her.
Despite her impressive work ethic, the maid"s unconventional cleaning tactics often terrify Kobayashi and sometimes cause more trouble than aid. Moreover, the reasons behind the dragon"s arrival on Earth are far more tangled than they appear; Tooru carries deep sorrow and painful memories. On top of that, her presence draws several other mythical beings into the apartment, adding a cast of quirky characters. Though Kobayashi tries her best to manage this chaotic reality, she never imagined a life with a dragon maid would be so extraordinary.
