Although Morishita performs well academically, he attends a class full of top performers and his scores fall below the norm. His homeroom instructor, Tsukishima Kyoko, is exceptionally stern toward him, scrutinizing not only his grades but also his everyday conduct. The pressure from demanding coursework and harsh instruction weighs heavily on him, yet he finds support in Shirakawa Miwa, the assistant homeroom teacher. She is a warm, maternal figure who comprehends Morishita"s situation and keeps him in her thoughts.
