As the national proverb says, "Japan is a country of eight million gods." Famous and all‑powerful, obscure and less significant—none of that matters, because one way or another each deity embodies something it symbolizes. Therefore it would be strange if there were no place in the vast all‑Japanese pantheon for a modest goddess of hot springs. She spent centuries in the embrace of deep sleep, and now, awakened into the modern world, she was extremely surprised to find that truly believing people were almost none. In the guise of a young woman she decides to fix the situation and at the same time regain her power. Fortunately, the place to realize this plan turned out to be quite lucky—a popular hot‑spring resort. All that remains is to find allies, the first of whom will be a senior high‑school student named Toya, and with flags and drums set out to meet the awaited popularity.
