A year ago in Japan a passage was discovered into a parallel world where the magical empire Eldant is located. The inhabitants of both worlds turned out to be intelligent enough not to start wars, and a cultural exchange was established between them. The entertainment industry of Eldant lagged far behind Japan, and it was decided to export anime, manga, and games into the parallel world. To promote otaku culture, the government hires the main character, otaku Shin'iti Kano.
