The story follows two characters — a boy named Nay, who is searching for his friend Karoku, who vanished without a trace. The only thing left in memory of him after the disappearance is a bracelet, which serves as the sole clue in his search. The second character is Gareki, a fifteen‑year‑old pickpocket. He does nothing special except steal, until during another theft he encounters Nay and saves him from the clutches of a rather strange‑looking woman. Soon these two find themselves as criminals wanted for arrest, and it is unknown how this story would have ended if our heroes had not encountered the powerful organization "Circus," which hunts mutants and simply enforces order.
