Harmony

In the not-too-distant future, a period called "Maelstrom," nuclear war and disease have destroyed almost the entire planet"s population. To prevent new catastrophes, the world was divided into small states, with a deeper, ethically‑solidary society through social pressure and health controlled by "admedicstration," facilities where nanotechnologies used for medical purposes are employed to ease every person"s life. But in Japan, a young girl Tuan Kirié and her friends Miha Mikhie and Kian Reikado do not want to live by such a principle, where the government controls each person"s existence; they declare their protest, refusing food and medicine to the point of suicide, however Tuan and Kian fail. Thirteen years later, Tuan became a member of the World Health Organization"s international medical police forces, however she remains true to her ideals. After several years of separation from Kian, the girls meet again, while Tuan conducts a private investigation in which she discovers the true threat behind the so‑called "utopia."
