Hikari, a junior high student, aspires to become a top rhythmic gymnast, idolizing Diliana Gueorguiva. Though she faces many obstacles during routines, her relentless effort and the encouragement of Takaaki Oiishi—her school's leading male gymnast—eventually earns her a spot on the school"s rhythmic team. Hikari falls for Oiishi, but she is not alone; Hazuki Shiina, the school"s premier gymnast, also pursues him. A bond forms between Hikari and Shiina, yet competition arises both in sport and affection for Oiishi. Meanwhile, Hikari struggles between her love for Oiishi and the lingering affection toward Mao Natsukawa, a childhood friend who fronts the band Mr. D and composes her performance music, having harbored feelings for Hikari since youth.
