Little Kumi lives in a realm of gleaming steel towers, where robots manage everything. Her favorite play area is a landscaped courtyard beside one of those towers, featuring an artificial fountain, synthetic plants, and holographic water and butterflies. The city hums with neon lights and the air smells of ozone.
One day she encounters a senior gentleman who comes daily to color the faux blossoms. He shares how he once found a "breathing" tulip growing among those artificial flowers, and they agree to tend the tulip together as it matures.
This project by Tezuka Productions is slated for Anime Mirai 2015.
