On a day that seemed ordinary, Suzuko encountered one of her neighbor"s children, Shu, while walking through a park after school and chose to accompany him home. Unfortunately, they never reached their destination. A massive gas blast engulfed Suzuko and the boy; instead of perishing instantly, Suzuko found herself awakening amid a battlefield strewn with corpses during the Sengoku era in the turbulent times of war.
Bandits raided Suzuko, yet Shukumaru—a youth who had come to scavenge the bodies to sustain his starving village—rescued her. Although both returned to their hamlet, Suzuko would not abandon her quest for Shu and continued visiting the battlefield daily with Shukumaru following close behind. Despite his lack of contemporary etiquette, Suzuko gradually became attracted to him. What destiny will unfold for this young woman in the blood‑stained annals of Japan? She must confront the harsh realities of survival and loyalty.
