The demonic ruler Nobunaga Oda has been defeated, and now, it seems, Japan can breathe freely. But alas, after a brief respite the struggle for power flares up with renewed vigor. In the North, the eternal rivals Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi are settling their relations; in their battle a reckless and uncompromising Masamune Date constantly seeks to intervene. Several princes control the central regions, among whom stands out the young strategist Motonari Mori; on the southern island of Shikoku, the pirate admiral Mototaka Teso Kabe is amassing forces. Will civil wars last forever under such circumstances? No, nothing lasts forever in our world, and a new force intervenes in the princes' rivalry – Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the second unifier of the Land of the Rising Sun. Former vassals of Nobunaga, such as Prince Toshie Maeda, rally under his banner, believing that if Oda saw a unified Japan as a toy for his unbridled passions, then his successor dreams of a strong and independent country with a future. However, most military leaders do not trust Toyotomi, and some, for example Keiji, the nephew of Prince Maeda, have good reasons. While blood richly fertilizes the land, while malice and mistrust rule it – the age of turmoil continues!
